Your guitar inspires me so much ngl...

love the emotion you pour into your pieces... I can feel it :)
Amazing.
Gah I'm a sucker for guitar what can I say XD
Deffs 5/5 - 10/10, as usual... only cause I can't go higher ;-;
Where do you record, and what do you use?
Like if I was going to record meh guitar... just wondreing if you had any tips? :D

KrinnValKhristi responds:

Welp... let's see...My first piece of advice is:

You will want to research something called "Gain staging". THIS IS TRE IMPORTANTE... I would nae recommend doing dis without dis.

What it means essentially is, you want to have a very low signal coming in; for a computer maybe -12db on the track.

Depending on how you record your guitar, this can vary greatly.

This purrrrticular song was done DI or "Direct In". I just plugged me strat into me splat, and den dare I was. (splat means interface)

If you do DI, I would recommend Poulin plugin for your Amp modeler, and then you can use W/E ye want fur your cabinet modeler. I use Guitar Rig 5. (The stock plugins suck, but it works for a cab modeler)

There is ANOTHER WAY!!! And I have used it too.

I use what they call an "attenuator". It is fancy word for something that lets you use high voltage amps with yoru interface so it does not burn it out.

You can't put 100 watts into an interface, THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER! ROFL

Oh, and don't spill koolaid in your tube amp.

This Attenuator will allow you to get A REAL amp sound into your DAW.

It has worked great for me.

I hope that helps. ^_^

Deffs not your best big room imo.
Es good however :D
I kinda feel it's not a 5* for once... but deffs close!
nice job!
4.5/5 - 9/10 :)

FelixZophar responds:

I'm a sucker for piano pieces like this one ;P
5/5 - 10/10
no criticisms ! :DD

WontonSauce responds:

Haha thx! Glad you enjoyed yet another piano piece (i swear I'll put something else out one day XD)

This could totally be remixed XD
if you perchance have the MIDI for this, and would be interested in sharing it with me.... I'd love to remix this!!
:)))

ChiliDawgDawen responds:

I'll see what I can do. ;)

I don't consider this muddy at all :)

IXentimenTI responds:

This was 'rushed'. Shouldn't have released it in state it was but hey it aint crazy bad atleast xD

Starting with critiques...
I feel this is lacking low end.
End of critiques*
Really like this production ^^
I don't have much time at the moment, so, I can't leave you a supre long review.
But I do have enough time to say wonderful job!
mixed and mastered well, produced well, written well, doesn't get repetitive.
if you'd only put the bass up slightly, I think it would make this song, really a whole lot better :D
'Sides that, I think you did a phenomenal job!
5/5 - 10/10!
:)

IXentimenTI responds:

Yeah, bass is definitely on lower side, but it was much needed trade of since I really imagined this as chill track where most stuff happens in mid range and treble and for that reason I decided that sacrificing some bass would be worthy trade-off to give everything else room to breathe freely. Hope you like that sax part as much as i do xD

Chill.
This is why I love Synthwave 😍😍

IXentimenTI responds:

Im still considering going back and doing mixing from scratch on this one some stuff really bugs me xD

I actually really like this alot for some reason :P

IXentimenTI responds:

Yeah, at the time I thought it was actually good track xD Obviously I didnt know what exactly mixing even was so its production value is low as hell but melody is catchy as hell... And is repeating 1000 times xD Anyway if you liked this you might like Electronic Transportation, somewhat older track that is IMO only one really worth something from all my old tracks. Oh yeah, all those old tacks were made using pretty much only DX10 plugin since my pc at the time was pure shit and couldnt handle even GMS. Limited as hell xD

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
omgeeeeee this 😍😍😍😍
A M A Z I N G!!!!
no more needs to be said.
The guitar is soooo clean.
Really wowed by this... short and sweet :DD

KrinnValKhristi responds:

tytyty for your kind review sir!

I don't even need to give a detailed review, because it wouldn't be worth it.
I don't need extra fluff.
I just need to say A M A Z I N G J O B!
I really love this kind of music, I have a huge soft spot for cinematic, and you really never fail to deliver o.o
I'd rate higher if I could.
Honestly I try so hard for a sound like this, yet always come up short... do you have any tips for me? even just a smol one?

Edit: Thank you :))
Thank you for reading, and making such amazing pieces!!!

JessieYun responds:

Hey MRM3,
Thank you very much for your comment, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Hmmm, it's pretty complex to explain, but basically try to develop more sections with your small ideas. I know it sounds easy and hard to do, but you can improve yourself by listening to a lot of technical pieces and practice throughout.

One of the best examples from classical music is Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, which the musical idea is playing with short-short-short-long notes, and develop with sequences throughout the whole 4 movements.

Just a kid who's in love with music and production. Currently studying Audio Engineering.
