no i clicked on it because it was the most recently published audio.
lol not sure this is "ambient" it's kinda weird and the piano sounds like ass but that's probably what you were going for and it works for some reason lmfao. nice job

ToastyBois responds:

Lol thanks my dude

haha nice fan remake.
maaaayybe a bit much on the sidechain but solid none the less :p
Back on Track was always my fav GD official song

Ok so. First of all... You pulled in so many sounds, used so many effects, modulations, gyrations, bippitybopboopers and stuff. And it doesn't sound like shit... so big props to you.
Let me start with what I love about this track.
The atmosphere you have going is a consistent dark one, you go from ominous to that filthy bass.. Ew... I love it.
Everything jives so wonderfully!
The "chord progression" in the breaks are really well done, and the doubletime bit you have in there still fits in the track well.
That last drop transition is absolutely delicious!!! I had to replay it like 9 times lol hope you're proud of that one.
All that being said... The mixing/mastering on this track kind of lets it down. It's not it bad, per say, but a better master on this track would take it from "almost full stars" to 100/10
Maybe you fully intended every single second to sound the way it does, in which case let me know.
But if you want to hear my thoughts: here they are.
It's a bit muddy at times, the different tracks/instruments could be leveled better, and the mixing on the drums is probably the worst part of the track.
Muddy mixes can be cleaned up nicely by reducing frequency overlap as much as possible.
Any sounds that are heavy in any frequency will fight to drown each other out. i.e.
Your bass and kick drum both have low frequencies, and will try to cancel each other out.
Your choir/pads have too much mid in them, and will try to cancel out etc.
a tiny bit of sidechain on the instruments to make your drums pop a little bit more would be nice all around the board.

That was a lot of words lol.
Well done! Gave this one a fav (:
4.5/5 - 9/10.
Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future!

- Plunger Licker
- Nihilism
- Alien Dance Battle
- Mutilationship

tysm for your feedback!

Nice track!
I like how you cut out the distorted bass before the drop.
The detuned lead is on point, the segments aren't too long/boring and the rhythm got me bobbin' my head for sure.
I'm taking half a star off for the mixing/mastering, I think there is room for improvement there.
All in all, nicely done! 4.5/5 - 9/10 :)

Overall nice track, simple for the most part.
There seems to be some dissonance/going out of key with either the vocals or the bass in the intro, and the mixing/mastering could be better, besides that, solid track!
I really like the sort of droning atmosphere in the outro, that was well done.
The overall fluency of the track is also good, you hear the start, middle, and end and they all sound like they belong in the same track which is definitely a good thing lol.
4/5 - 8/10. keep it up :)

I'm not really sure what feedback to give.
It seems you're going for "blow your speakers out mode" and you deffs achieved that.
I am not sure if you deliberately mix/mastered the track exactly how it is, or if you just didn't really master at all. There are points in the intro that seem to be dissonant; again, I'm not sure if it's intentional or not lol.
All in all, not my usual cup of tea, but it's not bad lol I think it's pretty well done. My only caveat is wishing the track was mixed a little bit better, you could achieve what you want without neglecting the mastering side.

Okay, so, to start off... This has huge potential for something stunning. It might just be personal taste, but it seems something is slightly off in parts of the sound design, but I can't quite pinpoint it.
The atmosphere you have going is great.
I love the slow raunchiness of the track, the rhythm is super on point.
Love experimenting with new sounds! You did great ^^
The blank transitions are executed well. A lot of the time, when people try it, it seems like one track cuts out and another starts playing, but you managed to tie the segments together very well.
All in all, very good for a first entry on NG!
I'm going to scout you, which means that you'll get your music on the frontpage, and it'll get a lot more exposure.
A PSA... Your music can't be used in Geometry Dash unless you are specifically whitelisted by RobTop himself... which... yeah good luck lol.
Looking forward to hearing your future projects!

CL31R responds:

WOW thank you so much, I'm left speechless. Getting scouted on my first audio makes me happy. i'm glad you enjoyed the audio. I believe my sound design sounds a bit off, because i took the time to actually create and design the sounds on my own, I'm not the best sound designer ever, but I can promise you, i tried my very best to use authentic & self made sounds to call my very own in this project. I also created the song in a weird key. It's a gminor key, but i use f# in it, which kinda makes the audio sound off putting in my opinion. the F# in G minor tonicises the G, since F# is the leading note, and the F# makes chord 5 a major chord (D F# A), therefore, creating the tension and resolution of a (V-i). thanks for you scout & review. i will continue to put out more thoughtful projects & hope u do the same. If someone asks me to get my music on Geometry Dash, then i will seek out robtop to get whitelisted, but for now, i'm just here to create selfish art <3

Heya, saw your post on the Review Request Club page, happy I clicked on the link :)

Overall, I don't have any major complaints, it is good for what it is meant to be.
Would go well in the background of a game, I'd imagine.
It is fairly repetitious and does drag on for a while longer than maybe it could, but that is also kind of the style, so I wouldn't worry about it if that's what you're going for.

I was beginning to worry that I'd find nothing to critique your "loins" on, but then that snare came in at around the 3 minute mark. It sticks out like a sore thumb, too much high end, and a little too loud for the rest of the mix, it's an easy fix, just throw an EQ on there, and take out some high end, or turn it down a bit and you are golden.

I'll scout you for the Audio Portal, which basically means that your music will be put up on the board for anyone/everyone to see; it should help get you some more views :)

TrashCanRobot responds:

Right on! I really appreciate the listen and solid feedback. I did notice that the visualizer spiked in gain when those drums kicked in. I couldn't quite hear the difference for some reason, but im glad that you helped confirm that. Easy enough fix, just as you said. Mamy thanks for vetting for me and keep it up with the good tunes!

Holy. Crap. What?!?
Damn. Nice job Wonton.
Last I heard from you was Ants, so I was SO not expecting this.
5/5 really great use of instrumentation, nice rhythms, and the production is wonderful!
Love it!!

WontonSauce responds:

Thanks for comin back and checkin out my stuff! Appreciate the feedback!

I think this is one of your best so far.
Sounds good!
I think your compositional skills are deffs improving
